If your workspace, mind and the work itself is organized and clean, this will go a very long way in making time management easier. People often run into problems in managing time if they need to spend unnecessary time getting their things together prior to actually accomplishing their goals. People who are organized and make an effort to know where things are automatically without having to search for them often have more time, which is the only resource we can’t more of in life, spend it wisely.

Once you are settled into work, study or whatever you are

doing, it is crucial to remain focused. However, this is often easier said than done. At least one time or another we have all fallen victim to the procrastination or distraction bug. It is inevitable, but do not make it a habit or else you will soon find yourself wasting a ton of tour valuable time. If you find yourself being distracted too much and it becoming a real problem, it is a good idea to keep those distractions away from your work space. The biggest culprit of these distractions is likely your smart phone, so keeping that out of arms reach while you are working or studying is a good idea.

Once something becomes habitual in life, it takes much less energy and effort to do. If you are able to religiously keep on task and stick to your schedule over time, it will eventually become almost second nature. However, if you are constantly all over the place from day to day, it can be very hard for habits to form. Of course, variety is the spice of life and you sometimes will deviate from these schedules and habits, but it is important to still establish these habits so when it comes to a day when you are very busy and have lots to do, you can buckle down, stick to your schedule and thank these habits for effectively managing your time.
